Chapter 1: Beginning

Chapter 1: Beginning
The Human race is on the verge of extinction!
"What should we do?"
At this moment, the man in a red robe and armor stood on the city wall, his fist clenched tightly. A sense of fatigue echoed constantly in his heart as his eyes stared at the setting sun, his body trembling slightly.
He slowly turned around and grabbed a bamboo scroll next to him, then he placed it heavily in the hand of the silver-armored soldier kneeling on one knee on the ground.
"Let's go," the man in the red robe said with a sense of relief.
The silver-armored soldier picked up the long spear next to him, cupping it with both hands, and instantly disappeared in front of the man in a red robe.
At this moment, inside the Silverfang City, moans kept coming from the ruins, and the whole city was filled with a pungent smell of blood.
Suddenly, a series of explosions startled the crow perched on top of a corpse, combing its feathers.
"Boom!"
A figure plummeted into the ruins like a shooting star, followed by several others who jumped down. A woman with torn clothes rushed to help him up. Please note that the Chinese sentence contains several repetitions of "
The girl's voice became hoarse as she said, "Senior, please don't make things difficult for yourself, leave quickly!"
The others following the girl also responded fervently.
The person she helped up covered their mouth with their left hand, and suddenly, a large amount of fresh blood flowed through their fingers. They covered their chest with their right hand, trembling as they struggled to stand up and weakly said, "I can't leave."
Saying that, he pushed the woman aside with his right hand. His expression became slightly savage, and his throat tightened as he forcefully swallowed the spurt of blood.
He took a deep breath and picked up the sword from the ground. He turned around and placed his hands on the woman's shoulders, intending to say something. However, an tentacle wrapped around his abdomen when he least expected it.
"Crack"
The sound of splintering bones made the woman's pupils dilate. In just a moment, several tentacles emerged from the ruins, wrapping around and dragging him away.
The woman couldn't help but collapse to the ground, and the swords in the hands of the men behind her involuntarily fell to the ground.
One of the men hugged his head and cried out, "I don't want to die yet."
At that moment, the ground began to tremble, and a colossal figure appeared before them. With a teasing tone, it said, "If you want to stay alive, only one of you can survive here. Figure it out amongst yourselves."
After finishing speaking, with just one look, it intimidated the few people present. The man who was previously crying on the ground instantly pulled out a dagger from his sleeve. Before the others could react, he fiercely rushed towards the nearest man and stabbed him in the chest. In a matter of seconds, the man stopped struggling.
He bent over, wiping away the blood from his face, and said, "Don't blame me, it's all for the sake of survival."
He glanced at the woman sitting on the ground, "Xuan Ying, don't blame me."
He rushed towards the woman as if he had gone mad, while the woman slowly closed her eyes.
"Is this how it ends," she thought faintly in her heart.
Just as the sword was about to penetrate her chest, a sword shadow intercepted the short sword in his hand. In his moment of hesitation, a young man landed beside him, then slapped him and sent him flying. Looking at him with a touch of disdain, he calmly said, "How could a student of Silver Mist Academy pollute themselves by associating with the demonic race?"
The woman, known as "Xuege," exclaimed in astonishment as she collapsed to the ground.
Before he could respond, a roar erupted from behind, stirring up a whirlwind of dust. The demonic figure behind him rapidly expanded in size and became even more ferocious in appearance. With a swift kick forward, it closed the distance between them in a single step, unleashing a thunderous punch. Violet-red lightning emanated from its body, swiftly spreading to its arms, while its eyes gleamed with murderous intent.
However, Xuehai smiled slightly and said, "When the killing intent is too heavy, actions become chaotic."
Xuehai grasped the hilt of the sword, and in an instant, as soon as the sword was unsheathed, the charging demon fell directly to the ground, and its body simultaneously shattered.
Xue Hai sheathed his sword and gently helped the woman up, saying to the people behind her, "There was a bit of a commotion just now, come with me."
